College of Aviation Competitive Teams

The College of Aviation has a long history of supporting competitive teams, dating back to 1946 when the newly formed Sky Broncos brought home their first national championship. Today, the College offers a greater degree of variety in competitive experiences, so that all aviation students have the opportunity to perfect their skills. Competitions are real world training opportunities that reinforce safety and precision while helping to foster driven, work-ready employees. Competitive teams also allow our students to represent WMU on a national level, bringing increased prestige and visibility to our program.

The support of our donors allows us to compete at both regional and national competitions by helping to fund our travel, equipment, and training budgets. We ask that our alumni, friends, and corporate partners who are passionate about contributing to the future of the industry join us in our fund-raising efforts to provide students with these invaluable experiences.
