Onyx Society
Established in 1989, the WMU Onyx Society is the alumni network for all Black graduates and friends of Western Michigan University. The Society promotes involvement and participation of its members in the areas of educational programs and events that affect Black students and alumni, advance the interests and promote the general welfare of Western Michigan University, and establish closer connections between the University and its Black alumni and friends.
Our Meetings
The Onyx Society has monthly operational meetings. Meeting notifications are sent to those on the membership roster. Announcements of upcoming meeting are also on our Facebook page, The Onyx Society – WMU Black Alumni. At this time, meetings are virtual. Just get the link and attend from afar.
