In the last weeks…
Metal stud framing on the first and second floors was substantially completed and ground floor framing was initiated. Metal pan stair installation in the north addition neared completion. Duct work on the first and second floors was substantially completed, as well as plumbing in the main section of the building as well as the north addition. Electrical rough-ins on the first and second floor also neared completion and fire protection systems continued to be installed.
Masonry repairs took place to complete the east elevation, and repairs began on the west elevation. Cornice repair and restoration was also completed on the east elevation and began on the west elevation.
In the following weeks…
The south addition will receive radiant floor tubing and underground plumbing will be completed and inspected. Masonry work will be initiated for the elevator shaft. In the west addition (which will become the lobby area), concrete slabs will be placed. Within a day or two, the second floor will begin to see drywall.
During the first week of April, the driveway to Lot #2 will be closed for the water main connection to the building, and the driveway to Lot #1, Walwood Hall, will become a shared access point.
