Alumna to Host New VH1 Series

Alumna to Host New VH1 Series
A new television show hosted by a Bronco premiers on VH1 July 22. Angie Greenup (BA '03, Theater Performance) is the host for “Twinning,” a reality show featuring 12 sets of identical twins that will compete against each other to determine who has the strongest ‘twin-tuition’ with their sibling.

“As the host of the show, I serve to move the story and game along throughout the 11 episodes,” Greenup says. “Of course, I would love for the show to be a success so that it gets a second season and I can continue working on it!”

Greenup originally moved to L.A. in 2003 after graduating from WMU to chase her dream of becoming a television actress. She pursued stand-up comedy, and performed everywhere from Las Vegas to a USO show in Singapore. She then transitioned to the world of hosting.

“After years of having no real luck, I decided to try hosting, as I thought I had the right personality for it and it looked like a lot of fun,” Greenup says. “The second I switched my focus from acting to hosting the work started to come my way. I had clearly found my niche and loved it!”

Past hosting and co- hosting credits include "In the Name of Science" on Nat Geo; "It's Effin' Science" on G4; "Smash Cuts" via Paramount syndication; and "Jobs of the Damned" on FearNet. She's also made guest hosting spots everywhere, from "The Doctors" to NBC Sports to "Dr. Drew's On Call" to "Attack of the Show" to the TV Guide Network. In 2013 she hosted the Oscars' "Oscar Roadtrip", traveling to special events all over the country on a tour bus with an Oscar, culminating on ABC's red carpet preshow. Angie also hosts, films, edits and markets her own daily YouTube show, "Love, Food & Money," where she entertains her ever-growing audience with daily videos.

“Twinning” premiers Wednesday, July 22 at 10/9 CST on VH1. The show can also be viewed online at the VH1 website.
