Bo Miller (BBA ’78, Industrial Marketing) is one of three new members recently elected to Habitat for Humanity International's Board of Directors.

Miller is the co-founder and principal of NightFire Advisors, a corporate citizenship and social responsibility consulting firm. Before founding NightFire Advisors, Miller was the global director of Corporate Citizenship for The Dow Chemical Company. Miller also served as the president and executive director of The Dow Chemical Company Foundation.

Prior to joining Habitat's board of directors, Miller worked with Habitat for Humanity Michigan on a multiyear, statewide affordable housing campaign. Habitat's board of directors is responsible for establishing policy and guiding the organization's efforts to construct, rehabilitate, repair, improve and advocate for housing in partnership with low-income families in more than 70 countries around the world.

Habitat board members volunteer for two-year terms that can be renewed up to four times.

"I am so pleased to have these outstanding leaders join the board," said Jonathan Reckford, CEO of Habitat for Humanity International. "They have been extraordinary friends to Habitat for Humanity and bring a wealth of skills, wisdom and perspective that will help us break the cycle of poverty that traps so many families who lack decent and affordable shelter."

Anchored by the conviction that housing provides a path out of poverty, since 1976 Habitat has helped more than 5 million people through home construction, rehabilitation and repairs and by increasing access to improved shelter through their services.

In 2013, Miller visited campus to speak on corporate citizenship and promoting sustainability. To learn more about his professional experience, click here
