NHL Broncos
Western Michigan University will have some serious representation in the National Hockey League this season. Five Broncos have made opening-day rosters for 2013-14.

Kevin Connauton (Dallas Stars), Joe Corvo (Ottawa Senators), Danny DeKeyser (Detroit Red Wings), Pat Dwyer (Carolina Hurricanes) and Mark Letestu (Columbus Blue Jackets) will all represent WMU this season.

WMU hockey alums Matt Tennyson and Luke Witkowski also spent the preseason with their NHL teams. Tennyson, who made his debut with San Jose last season, was sent to the Sharks’ AHL affiliate in Worcester. After playing with the Tampa Bay Lightning during the preseason, Witkowski was sent to Syracuse to begin the season.

Bronco Hockey hits the ice in the "Border Battle" against Western Ontario on Saturday, October 5. The regular season opens October 11. Click here for more game information.
