After leaving from WMU, Lisa Esser-Weidenfeller (
BBA '03, Finance) graduated summa cum laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2006. Today she practices in the areas of medical malpractice, wrongful death, and birth injury. Recently, Esser-Weidenfeller was elected shareholder at Sommers Schwartz, P.C. in Southfield, MICH.—where she is the youngest elected shareholder in the firm.
That's not all, she has been recognized by Michigan Super Lawyers® as a Rising Star® since 2011 and was named in The National Trial Lawyers® Top 40 Under 40® in 2012.
In addition to studying international law in Australia and New Zealand, she is an experienced traveler, having scuba dived in the Great Barrier Reef and sky dived over corn fields in Kansas.
