Andrew McLean (BA '05, Media Studies) and his partner Scott Richards are launching a new company—the first of its kind in the state. Michigan Mobile Canning will be able to fill 2 to 2.5 million beer cans a year, helping micro brewers minimize upfront packaging costs for distribution.

The 16-foot box truck will pull up to any brewery ready to distribute beer, fill the cans under brewery supervision—and then leave. Craft brewers from around the state will be able to begin distributing their brews with the help of Michigan Mobile Canning as early as June of this year.
