WMU at Meijer Headquarters

Several staff and faculty members from Western Michigan University accompanied President John M. Dunn to the Meijer headquarters to meet with nearly 100 WMU alumni employed by Meijer. Alumni from the colleges of Business, Engineering and Applied Sciences, Education and Human Development, and Arts and Sciences were in attendance.

Alumni enjoyed a presentation from President Dunn about WMU, in addition to a speech by Meijer President Rick Keyes. They also had the opportunity to connect with coworkers who were also WMU alumni.

“We’ve done three of these events at different businesses in the past, and I’ve heard from many alumni that they didn’t even know how many of their coworkers went to the same university,” said Jayson Rose, engagement manager at WMU, who helps coordinate these events. “It’s a great way to help people get connected while learning about what's new at WMU.”
