Fall 2013 Enrollment

Western Michigan University conducted the official fall census in September, and the results are in—fall 2013 enrollment figures indicate 5.1 percent increase in the number of new first-year students. WMU also welcomed to campus more international students and graduate students seeking doctoral degrees.

The increase of beginning first-year students at WMU is among the largest percentage increase officially announced by any Michigan public university.

Smaller upper class numbers from previous years' entering classes led to slight overall decrease in enrollment.
