Western Michigan University news and updates from around the web for April 19-25, 2013. This week's campus photo features Read Fieldhouse, the site of the Spring 2013 Commencement Ceremonies—Saturday, April 27.

Read Fieldhouse, or the Herbert 'Buck' Read Fieldhouse was constructed in 1957 and is roughly 154,713 square feet. It was originally used for Volleyball, Men's & Women's Basketball, and Gymnastics. Over the years, indoor track and field was added. The building has seen several expansions or renovations, most recently in 2010 when the indoor track was resurfaced, and baseline bleachers were replaced.

Buck Read coached the Broncos to an overall record of 345-169 during his 27-year tenure, including an undefeated campaign in 1929-30. To learn more about Read Fieldhouse, please click here.
