Western Michigan University news and updates from around the web for May 3 - May 9, 2013. This week's photo is a slight departure from the usual campus photo. This week's photo features the alumni relations staff doing their share in the Stadium Drive Community Garden. Staff members signed up for four hour shifts across two days (one day had to be rescheduled due to inclement weather) to get their hands dirty digging trenches for a fence, planting chives, and much more. Several staff members took a break from the fun to pose for this week's photo.
The Stadium Drive Community Garden is a sixty by one-hundred-twenty foot community garden operated by Western Michigan University. Garden plots are available to the public and the Office for Sustainability periodically sponsors workshops and other activities on location.
