Western Michigan University news and updates highlights for August 9-15, 2013. This week's campus photo features The Gilmore House, acquired by WMU in 1991. The three story home is roughly 15,993 square feet and used for formal and/ or private University and Alumni gatherings.
The Gilmore House was constructed in 1925 by Donald and Genevieve (Jane) Gilmore, and was one of four homes built on eight acres of land owned by W. E. Upjohn. Donald and Jane's daughters graciously donated the home to WMU in 1991.
