Western Michigan University news and updates for January 23 – 29, 2015. This week’s campus photo features the exterior of Kanley Chapel and some of its stained glass windows. There are 72 student-designed windows in the chapel, which was completed as a memorial to students who died in World War II. Dr. Sherwood Snyder (BA '57, Speech), who designed one of the windows in 1957, recently embarked on a journey to identify each of the window’s designers. He put together a book that documents the art and history of the chapel.
WMU Magazine featured Dr. Snyder's story in Fall 2014, click here to read the story or to learn how to obtain a copy of the book.
