Western Express June 5, 2015

Western Michigan University news and updates for May 29 – June 4, 2015. This week’s campus photo features Orientation Student Leaders during their 'dry run.' Orientation for incoming students began Wednesday, June 3 and hundreds of new Broncos began to arrive on campus to get acquainted with their new home. New students are required to stay overnight in the residence halls and can expect to register for courses, learn about University resources, go on campus tours, get their Bronco ID cards, and enjoy a cabaret performance dramatizing common themes of the first year of college. They will also have many opportunities to have fun while making new friends. Ten sessions of about 250 students each will rotate through campus before the orientation ‘season’ comes to a close at the end of June.

The Office of Development and Alumni Relations/ MyWMU are on site this year to welcome our newest Broncos and have a little fun with them. Throughout orientation, representatives from MyWMU will be in the Student Recreation Center leading ‘minute to win it’ games and hosting the 'photo booth' shown above.
