Western Michigan University news and update highlights for October 17 -23, 2014. This week’s campus photo features the Distinguished Alumni Award Recipients from 2012, Jan Huston (MA ’74) with her spouse Jonathon Pryor (left) and Wes Smith (BS ’61) with his spouse Sandra (right). The 2013 reception marked the 50th Anniversary of the Distinguished Alumni Award. All past recipients were honored at this event.
Over Homecoming weekend, a number of alumni will be honored across campus for their accomplishments and dedication to the University. The Distinguished Alumni Award, given by the WMU Alumni Association, is the highest honor any alumnus or alumna can receive from the University. Additionally, a number of colleges, and athletics, will be honoring alumni for their achievements at individual ceremonies.
