Currently the School of Communication is the largest unit in the College of Arts and Sciences. The School is an excellent steward of its existing resources, but with approximately 1,300 undergraduate majors and minors and 35 graduate students, there simply are not sufficient resources to meet the many competing needs within the School. Therefore, the External Advisory Board has established The Leadership 100 Fund. The goal is to seek 100 donors who will provide leadership gifts of $1,000 each to The Leadership 100 endowment for the School of Communication.
The purpose of the Leadership 100 endowment is to support a variety of activities within the School. For example, these funds would:
- support academic excellence awards
- supplement faculty and student research grants
- fund a scholarship for our newly proposed Study Abroad program to be offered in England each summer
- purchase required equipment or specialized software for faculty to conduct research
