Yes! One of the best things about contributing to WMU is that you decide where your gift is designated. You can even restrict your gift within the specific designation you choose. For example, you may designate your gift to the Invisible Need Fund and restrict it to be used only for the Food Pantry. Please visit our online giving form for a list of areas where you can make a gift.

There are multiple ways to support the University, but the easiest and quickest option to make an impact is via an online gift.
To make a one-time gift via check, please download the printable form here, make your check payable to the WMU Foundation, and send it with the completed form to the address listed on the form.
You or your spouse may work for a company that will match your gift. This can double, triple, or even quadruple your impact! To find out if your company participates, check with the company’s Human Resources department or search for the company here. If the company does match, please complete the forms they provide.
To arrange an endowment, planned gift, named scholarship, or life-income gift, please contact us at (269) 387-8700 and we will be glad to discuss the possibilities. -
Yes, if you make a gift during the calendar year (Jan. 1 – Dec. 31) you will receive a tax receipt in the mail from the WMU Foundation. Donors who make gifts via payroll deduction and those who make recurring gifts will receive year-end tax receipts. These year-end receipts are mailed at the end of January of the following year for tax return season.

Unless you specify that you would like your gift to be anonymous, there is a chance that your donation could be published in donor recognition material.
