Gymnasts Take First
Western Michigan University Gymnastics brought home its fourth MAC Championship in school history. The victory is shared with CMU—both teams scored 194.800 to finish as co-champions ahead of Kent State, Northern Illinois, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, and Ball State.

WMU hosted this year's meet, and has now won a title each of the last two times it hosted the MAC Championship.

Several teams members walked away with individual recognition as well. Jessi Buis tied for first on the vault (and joins her mother, WMU Hall of Famer Bonnie, as a MAC Champion). Caroline O'Brien had a runner-up finish on the uneven bars, where Shelby MacDonald took fifth. Kayla Weber was named 'Freshman of the Year' and was recognized as First All-Team Mac (the second in school history).

The Broncos add the 2013 trophy to those from the 2006, 1987, and 1986 seasons.
