Top Green Campus—2013
The Princeton Review and the U.S. Green Building Council's Center for Green Schools has released the 2013 list of 'The Nation's Most Environmentally Responsible 'Green Colleges'—and for the fourth consecutive year, WMU is on that list.

The list includes U.S. and Canadian colleges and universities that "demonstrate notable commitments to sustainability in their academic offerings, campus infrastructure, activities, and career preparation.

Use of LEED construction standards, extensive electric vehicle infrastructure, water management, and conservation efforts were among the many noted reasons WMU made the list. WMU was also noted for having the only student sustainability fee at a Michigan university. The fee provides support for sustainability efforts and grants for student-initiated research.
