The manuscript, known as Obrecht Manuscript 23, is part of the medieval manuscript collections of the Special Collections and Rare Books Department. It is the first fully digitized medieval manuscript codex from the Dom Edmond Obrecht Collection of Gethsemani Abbey.
Written in Latin and German, the manuscript (part of the Cisterican Studies Collection) is 760 pages and was apparently written by 15th or 16th century Cistercian nuns. It contains meditations and prayers revolving around the Easter season.
