Chem Link is a family of companies that provide product development, manufacturing, and services for architecture, industry, and consumer markets. Founded in 1990, Chem Link has focused its energy on meeting the most pressing needs of contractors, consumers, and industries throughout North America. The Company designs, tests, manufactures, and supports all of their own products—which are non-toxic and non threatening to human health during manufacture or in the field.
The environmentally-conscious company has gifted $10,000 to the Sunseeker team, and is currently arranging a site visit to learn more about the team's use of photovoltaic technology, which is used in the solar battery cells to capture the sun's radiation and 'fuel' the vehicle.
The Sunseeker vehicle is completely designed and constructed by students under the guidance of the faculty and team advisors. The team will participate in the Formula Sun Grand Prix race, part of the American Solar Challenge, in late June. Visit the American Solar Challenge website for more information.
