Dancing Funny Man
Matt Baker (BFA ’08, Dance) was recently interviewed by Dance Spirit Magazine to talk about KEIGWIN + COMPANY (K + C), a contemporary, and rather unique, dance troupe based in New York City that reaches national and international audiences.

Baker discussed everything from behind-the-scenes antics to injuries; rehearsals and pre-show rituals to fears and laughs. He also gives some good advice for aspiring dancers.

Dance Spirit magazine is popular among professional dancers and covers everything from news to technique and fashion to fitness— and is considered the 'go to' guide for all things dance.

“We’re a NYC-based company and we love our audiences the way we like our city: diverse! We definitely want a crowded house, full of strangers and familiar faces. I’ve met so many great people during my time with K + C. Some of them are long-time fans, some of them are newly engaged thanks to the exciting changes the company has seen over the last few years.”
