Western Michigan University news and update highlights for July 11 – 17, 2014. This week’s campus photo features the amphitheater, which is surrounded by Dunbar, Friedmann, and Knauss Halls. All three buildings were completed in 1971 to provide lecture hall and class spaces on campus.
James O. Knauss Hall contains several large lecture halls and is still used for large lecture classes. Willis F. Dunbar Hall holds classes for the Departments of English and World Languages, as well as multi-media studios for the Office of Information Technology. Robert Friedmann Hall is home the offices for the Departments of Economics and History, respectively, as well as the advising offices for the College of Arts and Sciences.
All three buildings are connected by elevated walkways. Click here to view a current map of campus.
