Western Michigan University news and updates for November 14-20, 2014. This week’s campus photo features a snowy night shot of the Richmond Center for Visual Arts. When snow hits WMU, crews have to remove it from some 20 miles of streets, more than 100 acres of parking lots, about 40 miles of walkway, and 200,000 sq. ft. of steps, ramps, and entry surfaces. On Tuesday, November 18, Kalamazoo woke up to a severe snow storm with whiteout conditions that forced WMU's campus and many other area schools to close for the day.
