The DeLano Mansion was built in 1863 and is considered a painted lady, one of the few in southwest Michigan. “I am the innkeeper doing marketing, cooking and making surprises for the guests. My husband is the photographer, grass cutter, snow blower, and light bulb changer,” Marcia said. “He also comes up with marketing ideas.”
Marcia and her husband, Kent, purchased the Inn in 2013 and have since worked to retain its elegant and romantic look and feel. The Inn has six tastefully decorated rooms and features fresh baked cookies, gourmet breakfasts, plush robes, and other treats. The summer allows for s’mores outside on the fire pit, and relaxing afternoons on the gazebo. Neigebauer also enjoys getting the Inn into the holiday season with her special touches.
