Laura Morrison
As an executive at BATS, the largest U.S. market for the trading of exchange-traded funds (ETF), Morrison manages the company’s exchange traded products business, developing strategy and working with issuers to list products and overseeing market quality incentive programs.
Prior to joining BATS, Morrison spent 20 years at the New York Stock Exchange in various leadership roles. She played a leading role in bringing new and innovative ETF products to market while launching key market quality programs and growing the ETF issuer base. In her last eight years at NYSE, Morrison served as senior vice president, global index and exchange-traded products, leading the team that managed ETF listing and trading as well as NYSE index business.
Morrison began her career at Barnett Bank in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, after earning her finance degree from WMU.
Morrison serves as a board member for Women in ETFs and the Borough of Manhattan Community College Foundation Board. She has also served as a member of the Standard & Poor’s Index Committee.
