Educator Inspires Women with New Book
Stephanie Burrage (B.A. ’90, Secondary Education English), inspirational author, video-blogger, and educator, recently debuted her new book, “Jewels for Every Woman: A Guide to Queendom Living.” Burrage has spent her career in teaching and leadership and was awarded the WMU Golden Apple Award in 2014.

Jewels for Every Woman is a message of hope meant to inspire and empower women to live their best lives. The jewels found in the book will teach women to rise above the obstacles of life using faith, compassion, love, and confidence to guide their daily path.

The book was inspired by Burrage’s life experiences as a wife and mother of three children, including one diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes before she was a year old. She did this while managing a teaching and leadership career in education and supporting other women and couples, with her husband, for over 25 years. While Burrage has experienced success, it was the challenging moments in her life that provided her the opportunity for growth and taught her those important life lessons that she shares in the book.

Burrage is the founder of Queendom Living, a movement for women to purposefully live their best lives. She is also the host and creator of Wednesday Wisdom Word, a weekly video blog on Facebook and YouTube, sharing insight and encouragement used to inspire today’s woman.

“We will all have some wins and losses,” says Burrage. “It is in the challenging times where I learned how to improve and adjust for the next time. It is in the losses where my faith grew.”

Burrage holds a Ph.D. from University of Minnesota Technical College.

Jewels for Every Woman is available for purchase online through various book sellers.
