Western Michigan University news highlights and alumni in the news for March 31 – April 6, 2017. This week’s campus photo features Sangren Plaza with Kanley Chapel in the background. Kanley Chapel was built in 1953 for non-denominational campus ministry meetings, weddings, and memorials. Dedicated to William Kanley, a Western alumnus, who requested a chapel be built from a bequest of his estate. The chapel is currently used for its original intended purpose.
