• Joy McClendon (B.B.A. ’78, Administrative Systems; MBA ’94) of Portage, Michigan is a retired senior director at Pfizer and an expert in planning, budgeting, and operations. She is proud and excited to watch WMU continue to grow and improve. Mclendon spends time volunteering with the WMU BIS Department Advisory Council and has been a part time instructor in the Haworth College of Business, in addition to involvement on many other boards and initiatives.
• Jason Shorb (B.B.A. ’97, Marketing and Management) of Atlanta, Georgia, is an expert in creating exceptional customer service experiences across physical and digital touch points. As director, CRM & customer experience for InterContinental Hotels group, Shorb is responsible for overseeing the planning and delivery of global customer loyalty initiatives that create personalized experiences for guests.
• Lisa Williams (B.A. ’98, Secondary Education; M.A. ’04, Educational Leadership) of Southfield, Michigan, has used her extensive educational skill set in a variety of positions. Williams began her career teaching high school English before gaining administrative experience serving as education improvement consultant at Wayne County RESA and Principal of Ferndale High School. She currently serves as Principal of Lincoln Middle School in the Van Dyke Public School District. In 2013, Williams received a Golden Apple Award from the WMU College of Education and Human Development.
