Mr. Hall also earned a master's degree from Wayne State University. He began his career as an entrepreneur, and then spent 16 years as a supervisor of systems analysis at the Ford Motor Company, before joining New Detroit, Inc. as an assistant vice president.
In 1992, he was named president of the Michigan Minority Business Development Council, which under his leadership became one of the premier minority business organizations in the country.
In 1998, he was selected chairman and CEO of Bridgewater Interiors, LLC, a first-of-its-kind joint venture in Detroit's Empowerment Zone.
