Marc grew up in Alma and East Lansing, Michigan. As a vibrant, compassionate, and loving person, Marc had hundreds of friends in Kalamazoo, East Lansing, and around the world.
Marc graduated from Western Michigan University in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in communication and worked in the transportation industry in both Chicago and Grand Rapids. While at Western, Marc was actively involved in Intramural sports and always played with great passion.
Marc accepted everyone for exactly who they were and encouraged his family, friends, or even someone he just met to accomplish their goals and chase their dreams. He loved his family and friends, always saying “I love you” as often as he could, and being the glue that united them.
As we remember Marc's wonderful life – wondering what could have been—one thing remains certain: Marc’s memory will live on through the numerous lives he touched. Lets all try to live a little bit like Marc did.

Marc Simon (BA '11, Communication) passed away in November 2013 in East Lansing. To honor his memory, and promote his life philosophy, the family and friends of Marc Simon have established a scholarship fund in Marc's name.
