A New Provost

Marianne P. Vakalis (EdD '90, Educational Leadership) is the newly appointed Provost of Berkeley College. Berkeley College is considered a leader in business education with six locations in New Jersey, three in New York, and a full online degree program.

Vakalis moves into her new role after being at Berkeley in several different capacities over several years. She began her tenure as Dean of Academic Affairs and was promoted several times before becoming Interim Provost in January 2013. Prior to serving Berkeley College, Vakalis taught undergraduate and graduate computer science classes and has held various positions in academics.

Before completing her doctoral education at Western Michigan University, Vakalis earned a MEd in Educational Technology from the University of Bath, England; and a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Hull, England.
