Dana Blackstone (BA '03, Sociology) is featured in the local Kalamazoo film, The Problem with Honor. The film premiered at WMU's Little Theatre near the end of January. her film credits include, Where's Tuesday Monday, Cadence, A Dog for Christmas (in production), and Bare.  

Mchael E. Debs (BBA '80, Accountancy) of Kelly Services was selected by Execrank as a top Chief Accounting Officer for 2012. Debs is currently the Controller and Chief Accounting officer of Kelly Services. Rankings were based on two years of research and feedback from evaluation committees and top Chief Accounting Officers that yielded an algorithm for how to rank CAOs and Controllers based on their performance in 24 key areas.

Robert Greenwood (Master of Public Administration '02) was recently appointed to the position of Labor Relations Representative for Central Office-Michigan Department of Corrections. 

Yan Pik Leng (Becky) (BBA '96, Finance; MBA '98) has been promoted at iProperty Group Ltd, the owns of Asia's No. 1 network of property portal sites under the iProperty brand.
Leng has been appointed as Chief Marketing Officer for the Group, having previously been Director of Marketing and Portal Management at SingTel International Group and prior to that Head of Interactive Media at Maxis Malaysia.

Kim (Tullar) Lutz (BS '83, Communication) completed a Doctor of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Wayne State University. Lutz began her career at Baker College in 1985 and has served as an adjunct faculty member, assistant registrar, curriculum director, and instructional designer.

Alan Nelson (BBA '85, Accountancy) was recently hired at Texas accounting firm, Hartman Leito & Bolt, to lead its forensic accounting practice as the director of litigation support and forensic services. Nelson will lead HLB’s litigation support, forensic and investigative accounting, and computer forensics technology consulting services.

Nargis Sethi (Master of Development Administration '86) is currently serving as the first woman Secretary of Defense for Pakistan. Sethi graduated from WMU with honors and mentions that Goldsworth Valley remains an important memory "Thank You WMU!".

Chong Boon Woon (BBA '91, Finance; MBA '92 is the Chief Operating Officer/Head of Corporate Strategy and Finance of OSK Investment Bank Berhad in Malaysia. Mr. Woon joined OSK Securities Berhad (now known as OSK Investment Bank Berhad) as General Manager, Corporate and Strategic Planning in 2002.
