New Legacies

When the relative of a WMU Alumni makes the decision to attend WMU, it is a major compliment to the University— and a legacy. That is why the WMU Alumni Association established the Legacy Scholarship, intended only for the children, grandchildren, stepchildren, step-grandchildren, and siblings of WMU alumni. The scholarship awards $1000 to first time enrolled Broncos (entering WMU in the Fall only).

This year, the board will select up to 100 recipients from the pool of applicants. The deadline to apply for a Legacy Scholarship is Friday, February 24. The online application can be found here. Interested students must be prepared to fill out an application including an essay describing their decision to attend WMU (more information can be found in the application). Students do not need to be admitted to WMU to apply for the scholarship.
