The ex Detroit Lion and Bronco footballer is returning to his hometown of Chelsea to coach his old high school football team--as a volunteer. He's also opening a real estate business with a local realtor.
Three concussions took Scheffler out of the game, the most recent was at a game in Green Bay last year. The Lions released him and for the remainder of the season, Scheffler was able to see football from a different perspective-- which led him to the decision to retire.
