The Western Michigan University Alumni Association Board of Directors is seeking new members for a three-year term (beginning July 1, 2013 and ending June 30, 2016). All alumni who have achieved a level of distinction in their careers and are well versed in related skills and knowledge are encouraged to submit a nomination. If you know of an appropriate candidate, you may also submit a nomination for that individual.
"I have been on the board for eight years and in that time I know I have made a difference for WMU, " says current board President, Phil Chludzinski. "The decisions we make—the actions we take, all help the University and I'm proud and honored to be a part of that. We want to open up that opportunity to other great WMU Alumni and I hope that we see some new faces in July."

As a member of the WMU Alumni Association Board of Directors, you will:
- Serve as a voice for all Alumni
- Establish and oversee policies for conducting business of the Association
- Establish Association policy and procedure related to core functions and signature programs (awarding Legacy Scholarships and conferring Distinguished Alumni Awards)
- Approve Association goals and contribute to the achievement of set goals
