5 years ago, a group of Grand Rapids-based Bronco alumni began a tradition of ringing in the new school year and football season with a modest party. The event has slowly grown into a can't-miss pep rally, complete with with free food, drinks, and transportation for all.
The annual Stampede Pep Rally in Grand Rapids will kick off this Wednesday at 5 p.m. The Bronco Marching Band will parade through the streets of Grand Rapids, beginning at Rosa Parks Circle, and ending in The B.O.B parking lot. The Blues Man Group will take the stage at The B.O.B. at 5 p.m. See the Bronco Cheer & Dance teams and a few special guests from the Bronco Nation including Buster Bronco, Coach Cubit, and others.
The event features free food and drinks, including beer. Free transportation is available for anyone in Kalamazoo who wants to visit our Bronco Friends in GR. Buses will depart from Miller Auditorium at 3:45 p.m. and return around 8 p.m.
The B.O.B. (Big Old Building) is an entertainment hot spot in Grand Rapids, featuring several restaurants and bars. It is located at 20 Monroe Ave NW.
