Valentine’s Day is upon us, and whether you do or don’t have a date, we’ve compiled a list of 14 fun things to do (in no particular order) on campus and around Kalamazoo.
1. Hang out at the top of Sprau Tower
2. Go to the Alamo Drafthouse to catch a movie
3. Head downtown to explore the city; be sure to check out the WMU Student ensemble MNOE + Lauren Deming at Bell’s Eccentric Café on Friday
4. Walk through the Richmond Center for Visual Arts to see the current exhibitions
5. Go for a stroll around Heritage Hall and watch the sunrise or enjoy the view of downtown Kalamazoo
6. Have a study date on the fourth floor of Sangren Hall or the College of Health and Human Services atrium
7. Drink hot cocoa at the Miller Fountain in Fountain Plaza
8. Plan a Lunch date at the Bronco mall
9. Organize a scavenger hunt around campus
10. Make a gift for a brick paver at Heritage Hall for you and your significant other or friends
11. Catch a show in the Planetarium at Kalamazoo Valley Museum
12. Take a walk through Bronson Park and snap some photos posing with the sculptures
13. See a show at the Gilmore Theatre Complex (“A Soldier’s Play” in Shaw, or “Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson at York Arena) or Miller Auditorium (Gold Company)
14. Show your WMU pride together-- Cheer the Broncos at a sporting event (women’s tennis and women’s basketball both play at home during Valentine’s Day weekend)
