Western Michigan University has been named one of the five best U.S. campuses for electric vehicles. Transport Evolved, a news site based in Great Britain, recently ranked the nation's most "Electric Vehicle Friendly" colleges, and WMU landed at fourth on the list behind University of California-Davis, Towson University, and Santa Clara University.
WMU currently has 22 electric vehicle charging stations, 15 of which are powered by a photovoltaic solar panel array.
