Hentry L. VanDyke Jr., B.A. '27
Dr. Van Dyke received a master's degree from the University of Michigan and a doctorate from Michigan State University. In 1928, he joined the chemistry faculty at Alabama State University.
He also served that school as chairman of the science and mathematics division and dean of arts and sciences. He served as a chemical consultant in Indonesia from 1957 to 1959.
A researcher and author, he was elected by his colleagues to the presidency of the National Institute of Science.
