Dr. Tate is the author of six books on international and diplomatic affairs and a noted historian, researcher, university professor and philanthropist.
She graduated from Oxford University on 1935 and received doctoral degrees from both Harvard University, in 1940, and Radcliffe College, in 1941.
In 1951, she traveled to India as a Fulbright lecturer.
