Jack Lewis Moore, B.A. '59

Jack Lewis Moore, B.A. '59

Dr. Moore earned both a master's degree and medical degree from Howard University. In 1970, he joined the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Bellflower, California, as a staff anesthesiologist and served as chief of the department from 1972 to 1984.

A clinical instructor at the UCLA Medical Center since 1970, he also teaches at the Charles R. Drew Postgraduate Medical School.

Active in several professional organizations, he served as president of the California Society of Anesthesiologists.

Linda Steinman Kravitz, B.A. '68

Ms. Kravitz received a master's degree from the University of Michigan. She joined the McDonald's Corporation in 1979 as manager of marketing, was promoted to director of youth marketing in 1987 and to assistant vice president a year later.

A nationally recognized authority on programs for children and young adults, she was named vice president of national marketing in 1993. Involved in a variety of youth related program, she serves on the board of the Young Astronaut Council.

Richard G. Carlson, B.B.A. '71

Mr. Carlson joined Deloitte & Touche in 1971, was named director of real estate services for the Chicago office in 1979, and was elected to the firm's partnership one year later.

A recognized expert in real estate issues, he was named managing director of national real estate services in 1991. Editor of several accounting publications and a member of numerous professional organizations, he also served as president of the WMU Alumni Association and is a director of the WMU Foundation.
