James W. Goss, B.B.A. '66

Mr. Goss earned a master's degree from the University of Illinois and a juris doctorate from Georgetown University. After law school, he joined a large Detroit law firm as a corporate trial attorney.

In 1982, he started his own firm, concentrating in commercial, corporate, and products liability and, in 1988, became a partner with Dean & Fulkerson, P.C. of Troy, Michigan.

Throughout his career, he has been involved in some of the nation's most significant products liability litigation.

Roy S. Roberts, B.B.A. '70

Mr. Roberts worked full time at a Lear Siegler plant in Grand Rapids while attending WMU. In 1977, he became a salaried-employee-in-training for General Motors and rose to various positions of greater responsibility.

He was elected corporate vice president in charge of personnel administration and development in 1987. Three years later, he was named manufacturing manager for the Cadillac Motor Car Division.

In 1992, he was appointed vice president and general manager of the GMC Truck Division.

William J. Bolton, B.S. '68

Mr. Bolton became affiliated with Jewel Food Stores in 1966 through a cooperative education experience while a food marketing major at WMU. Sixteen years later after a series of promotions within the supermarket chain, he was named vice president.

He held several other top-management positions, including executive vice president of marketing and, in 1992, was named president of Jewel.

In 1995, he was named chairman and chief executive officer of Bruno's Inc., in Birmingham, Alabama.
