Jan Huston, MA '74

Dr. Jan Huston, MA '74, established Summit Breast Care to provide comprehensive and affordable medical services to all women, including the uninsured. In 2007, Dr. Huston continued her goal to provide quality care breast care by joining St. Michael’s Medical Center to lead the Connie Dwyer Breast Center.

She has consistently been listed a Top Doctor in the New York Metropolitan Area, and one of New York Magazine’s Top Doctors for Women. In 2011, Dr. Huston was named a Top Surgeon in the nation by Castle Connoly. She was the only surgeon on the list, out of 32, who specialized in breast care.

Wes Smith, BS '61

Wes Smith began his career at Procter & Gamble, holding various positions for 20 years, guiding the construction and start-up of a new mill, and progressing to division manager of three mills and the Midwest engineering division. He then joined International Paper (IP) as Director of Manufacturing Technical Services, and was later promoted to President of IP Europe.

In 1992, Mr. Smith became Executive Vice President for the entire printing papers business where he was responsible for a corporate staff in six different areas, 18 million acres of woodlands, and a $6 billion portion of IP.
