Barbara Marineau, B.A. '72

Barbara Marineau, B.A. '72

Ms. Marineau continued her studies at London's Commonstock Theatre Workshop. A singer, actress, and dancer, she starred on Broadway and in national tour productions throughout the United State and Japan.

Among her credits are principal roles in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, The Grand Hotel and I'm Getting My Act Together.

She received the prestigious Carbonell Award for best actress in a musical for performance as Rosemund in the Broadway and national tour production of The Robber Bridegroom.

Lela Williams Llorens, B.S. '53

Dr. Llorens received a master's degree from Wayne State University and a doctorate from Walden University.

She has been a professor of occupational therapy, a department chair, and a coordinator of graduate studies at both the University of Florida and San Jose State University.

She is the recipient of many awards recognizing her contributions as an author, researcher, writer, lecturer and educator including the American Occupational Therapy Association's Award of Merit, its highest honor.

Richard T. Cole, B.A. '69

Richard T. Cole, B.A. '69

Dr. Cole began his career in Lansing as a legislative consultant and then worked for both the Michigan Department of Education and the state Senate.

He received masters and doctoral degrees from Michigan State University. After co-founding a management and communication consulting firm in 1978, he returned to government service and was named press secretary and later chief of staff for Michigan Governor James Blanchard.

In 1991, he became vice president of Michigan Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
