David Dombrowski, B.B.A. '79

David Dombrowski, B.B.A. '79

Mr. Dombrowski was hired by the Chicago White Sox in 1978 and held several positions with the club including vice president of baseball operations. He was general manager for the Montreal Expos when he was named general manager and executive vice president of the Florida Marlins, a new franchise, in 1991.

The team he built from the ground up made baseball history by winning the 1997 World Series in their fifth season of competition.

James P. Holden, B.S. '73

Mr. Holden began his career in the auto industry as a systems analyst with the Ford Motor Company. In 1981, he accepted the position of fleet development manager-truck operations with the Chrysler Corporation.

After a series of promotions, including two vice presidencies, he was appointed executive vice president, one of only six in the corporation, for sales and marketing in 1996.

Thomas L. Reece, B.A. '64

Thomas L. Reece, B.A. '64

Mr. Reece spent his entire career with the Dover Corporation, a highly diversified manufacturer. He was hired in 1965 as office manager at Dover's Ronnigen-Petter division.

Six years later, he was named its president. He served as president of two other Dover divisions and CEO of its wholly owned subsidiary before being elected corporate president and COO in 1993. One year later, he was named Dover's fourth CEO.
